As a member of STRADA RACING CLUB, you are expected to conduct yourself in a professional manner. When you represent the STRADA RACING CLUB, your behavior reflects on every STRADA member, our sponsors and the sport of cycling.
STRADA RACING CLUB members are expected to:
respect and follow the direction of the Ride Leaders on all organized club rides and at all club or race events.
Wear a NORBA or USCF-approved helmet
ride in a safe manner at all times
obey all laws of the road including but not limited to:
stop signs
traffic signals
hand signals
riding in the direction of traffic on the right side of the road
(even if there is no center line)
point out and verbally identify obstacles
call out and use hand signals for all corners and stops
be courteous and patient with other riders, vehicular traffic, pedestrians, and animals.
ride in a paceline
keep bikes and equipment properly and safely maintained
know how to use their equipment and have their own tools to make repairs
wear Strada Kit that is clean, in good condition and worn in an appropriate manner.
wear current Strada jerseys when racing
follow current USCF rules at all sanctioned USCF events
use discretion and modesty when changing into and out of:
warm-up wear
training gear
race wear
You are expected to be respectful of all STRADA RACING CLUB members.
This includes but is not limited to:
staging early and leaving on time
carrying sufficient fluid and food
wearing appropriate gear including an approved helmet
having appropriately maintained equipment
attending the rides and races in an appropriate physical and mental condition
causing unnecessary distractions or disruptions on rides or in races
overestimating your abilities
using language or behavior that can be misconstrued as being inappropriate to other members or their family, friends, or the public.
STRADA RACING CLUB members are expected to refrain from:
using foul language
littering (ie.. even the small tabs on gel packs or bar wrappers)
altercations with drivers, pedestrians, other riders or animals
public indecency
any act that would poorly represent themselves as a member of STRADA RACING CLUB, our sponsors and the sport of cycling.
